Today, our world is under the unprecedented pressure of information overload. The happy-go-lucky use of meaningful words has deprived them of meaning, making them less of a weapon when addressing some of the most troubling issues of our capitalist-ruled reality.

Right here and right now, humans remain dependent on machinery and hard labor. Our entire society functions as a huge factory managed by landlords who keep on honing the skill of manipulating our minds into the illusion of creative work while, in reality, we are stuck at their product line.

The V/A compilation of industrial and elektro music performed by post-Soviet artists and bands, "Adaptatsiya", features some of the best tracks by Russian, Belorussian and Ukrainian musical acts. With thousands of kilometers dividing them, these artists are together in their rejection of today's consumerist culture that has become an obsession of its own kind. The musicians create their own information channel to allow interaction between fans and adapt to the unfriendly cultural environment without losing individuality.
